Our approach to breeding follows the highest standards. We fully health test each of our breeding bitches above and beyond the Kennel Club’s set standards for the Labrador breed.

We only mate our breeding bitches with fine looking stud dogs that are fully health tested and have solid temperaments. Throughout the selection process we carefully choose the stud dog that we are planning to use. This ensures that he meets all the Kennel Club's Labrador breeding standards before we go ahead with a potential mating. If needs be we will travel as far as necessary to find the right stud dog to mate with our breeding bitch.

​We only breed two litters of puppies annually. Our breeding bitches have no more than three litters of puppies during their lifetime. The health and well-being of our dogs and puppies is of paramount importance to us. We endeavour to produce top quality, fit, healthy and intelligent puppies with lovely temperaments. Our puppies come from excellent bloodlines.

Our breeding bitches are carefully bred. This ensures that the puppies they produce are easily trainable.  They will have the potential to become highly successful working line gun dogs within the shooting field. They will also make happy, trustworthy, gentle, loyal and loving family pets.

We constantly research our chosen breed to learn and better our knowledge of breeding working line Labrador puppies. We strive for improvement at all times, ensuring that our bitches produce top-quality puppies. Our puppies are the result of a successful mating between two compatible and carefully matched fully health-tested parents.

Our dogs are fully health tested as stipulated by the Kennel Club. We ensure that they have their BVA annual eye screening, regular health checks and annual vaccinations with our registered veterinarian.

Our working dog team have earned the reputation for being great bird finders. They are extremely confident and competent working gundogs. Our gundog team enjoy picking up on local shoots for over forty days in a season. They are physically sound, have a great drive and are well-balanced, obedient individuals that aim to please us.

Our dogs are quality working-line gundogs with super temperaments. They are also loyal and loving pets and they are very much part of our family.

For security reasons, all of our dogs live indoors in our purpose-built extension. This ensures that when our breeding bitches have their puppies, they are closely supervised. This ensures that the dogs and puppies are safe at all times. We keep the whelping area spotlessly clean, this ensures that the puppies are whelped in a safe, warm and temperature-controlled environment. A video camera is carefully positioned over the whelping box to monitor the dam and her puppies twenty-four hours a day should they need our help.​​​​​​​​​
